Ginger's Story...
Ginger is the ultimate lap dog. This lovable little dumpling of a girl longs to have a mom and/or dad of her very own, who will let her be with them all the time. Whether you're going for a walk, riding in the car, curled up on the couch or asleep in your bed, Ginger wants to be right with you. This very calm little dog is perfectly suited for a very calm home environment. Ginger walks well on-leash and is very well-behaved on car rides. She is housebroken and has no destructive habits at all. Ginger was born in March of 2004, so she is full-grown. Ginger is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, heartworm-negative and is on monthly heartworm prevention and flea control. She is just the sweetest dog and will give her person complete devotion. Ginger would be happiest in a calm, adult home environment, where her person is at home much of the time. If you would like to make Ginger a permanent member of your family, please complete our online application today at www.tassieshope.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ginger, a Carrollton Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Carrollton, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Carrollton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carrollton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carrollton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carrollton paves the way for another one to be saved.
