Silas's Story...
Silos just came into rescue. Silos will be ready for adoption approx. 10-25-05. Silos was tied up outside to live on a heavy duty chain because he could get over the 4 foot fence. He was not aloud to live inside the house and be treated as part of the family. The man who bought the house about 3 years ago got a "good deal"- "buy a house and I will throw a dog that lives outside chained to the tree in the deal". Who could pass that up? And he took the deal and still Silos ( that is his new name now) never seen a vet or got to come in the house, let alone have any dog toys or get any love and attention. If you are interested in adopting Silos please fill out an application. Silos will HAVE to have a new home with a 6 foot fence.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Silas, a Ortonville Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Ortonville, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Ortonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ortonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ortonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ortonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
