WE ARE A SMALL RESCUE, OVERWHELMED BY THE NUMBER OF DOGS WE HAVE IN OUR FOSTER PROGRAM AND ARE UNABLE TO ANSWER OR CALL UNTIL WE HAVE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION.
Poor Stone, he was at the same shelter with Chunk. We don't usually rescue Olde English Bulldogs but Stone was so miserable, I just couldn't leave him behind. Stone has Demodex mange that appears to have never been diagnosed or treated in the past. It wasn't that he never got vet treatment...his owners spent thousands to treat his skin condition. I doesn't appear that anyone checked him for Demodex. Fortunately, Demodex is very easily treated and Stone will be good as new in no time. Stone does have significant paw swelling from the demodex but doesn't appear to have difficulty walking. He's a love bug who only wants to be with his people. He is happy, loving with moderate energy level. His temperment with other dogs is still being assessed. Stone is 5 years old. Stone isn't very fond of the camera.
Update: What a lovely boy. After a short adjusment period, Stone has settled in and gotten with the program. He's very smart and loving. He also has spectacular behavior once we were able to figure out his potty schedule. His Demodex is healing up nicely but will need additional treatment before he is available for adoption.
