4/27/10: Dede continues to do wonderfully and is loved by all of the people she meets!
She has been around a few dog-savvy cats and did not try to chase them. In fact, she was not very interested in them at all!
This beauty is still looking for her forever home and would love to melt your heart!
3/27/10: Dede's foster reports that she is doing great! On her walks she has noticed cats, but does not try to pull toward them. She has been around a stroller-aged child and sat nicely to let the child pet her and LOVED the attention!
This smart girl will pace or jump on the door to let her foster know that she needs to go out. She would absolutely love a fenced yard to play in!

3/17/10: Dede has now arrived in Maine and her foster mom reports that she is settling in nicely. She enjoys their afternoon walks and has done well with both adults and kids that she has met along the way.

Meet Dede! She is four years old. A young man gave Dede and her eleven puppies to his mother, who was unable to take care of them all. An animal control officer and kennel manager went to her house and brought Dede and the pups to our partner shelter in the south. They love Dede and would like to get her to a rescue so she can find the love and joy that a permanent home would give her. She will be coming north in mid-March.
Dede has a beautiful brindle coat and is SO sweet and loving. She was such a great Mom to her pups! Dede looks forward to her daily walks around the dog park trail. She especialy loves her playtime in the shelter yard. Dede has interacted with volunteers of all ages and done really well. She enjoys attention and affection and will stand up on her back legs to be hugged. Dede has an eager-to-please manner that should make her easy to train.
Like many of our sweeties, Dede is currently with one of our partner shelter in the South.
