Tiny Oliver's Story...
Tiny Oliver is a 2 year old, 10 lb., male Long Haired Chihuahua/Papillon/Dachshund mix. He is a very sweet and very happy playful puppy.
He was dumped at the shelter in February 2010 with a severe case of Demodex (non-contagious mange). Just a few weeks after beginning treatment his skin cleared up and all of his hair grew back. He is very affectionate and loves to cuddle.
He loves to play with other SMALL dogs. Tiny is a very well behaved good little boy.
WE MUST ADOPT HIM TO A HOME WITH ANOTHER YOUNG SMALL DOG WHO ALSO LOVES TO PLAY.
Tiny is healthy, housetrained, neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines.
Adoption only open to Southern California residents. We do not adopt any of our dogs to households with children under 10 years old.
An adoption application must be filled out PRIOR to anyone meeting any of our dogs.
To receive an application Contact Death Row Dogs Rescue at deathrowdogsrescue@earthlink.net or (818) 232-0775

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tiny Oliver, a Van Nuys Chihuahua/Papillon puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Papillon for sale in Van Nuys, or seeking a Chihuahua/Papillon puppy from a breeder in Van Nuys.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Van Nuys already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Van Nuys breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Papillon breeders who help with Chihuahua/Papillon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Van Nuys paves the way for another one to be saved.
