Elmer's Story...
Elmer is a 7 month old domestic short hair brown tabby. He was found in someone's yard with his brothers Earl Grey & Eddy Puss. There were over 30 cats living in this area that we stepped in to spay/neuter. Most were returned outside but Elmer and his brothers were too young and sweet to put back out. Elmer's foster mom says he loves to sleep in bed with her. They are neutered, up to date on vaccines, de-wormed and tested negative for FELV and FIV. If interested in adopting this little doll fill out an application and call us at 973-902-7515. Elmer's adoption fee is $100.

Elmer is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elmer, a Wayne Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Wayne, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Wayne.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wayne already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wayne breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wayne paves the way for another one to be saved.
