Ginger's Story...
Ginger is a delightful, healthy and extremely loving Chihuahua who lost her home when her former owner became ill and could no longer keep Ginger. Ginger loves going for walks, sitting on her person's lap and is social around other dogs. She seems to know many commands and is housebroken. Ginger is 8-years-old and 13 lbs. She would do best in an adult home where she can get lots of loving and attention. If interested in lovely little Ginger, please call us (NOT email!) at (212) 427-8273. Please have previous ownership experience with a smaller breed dog and a checkable vet reference. Ginger is already spayed, up to date on shots and ready to go to her committed and loving home! Don't miss out on this little sweetheart!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ginger, a New York Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in New York, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
