Ross's Story...
My brother and I were found as strays...we were sort of having fun, but it was scary too! I was relieved when that nice lady came to take us home. She fostered us and vetted us, then put us on a transport to RI. We are here now, waiting for a home. I am mostly black, and am the more outgoing brother. I weigh about 13 pounds and am 7 months old. I love people, and would do best in a home where the family is around in the day. My fee of 325. covers vetting, transport, and a blanket, collar and leash. Please ask about me if you are in RI, Cape Cod, eastern CT, or are near the Worcester, Boston (MA) or Litchfield CT areas. Please call with any questions...Judy at 401 647-0513...would love a furver family! I would love a fur-ever family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ross, a Foster Shih Tzu puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Foster, or seeking a Shih Tzu puppy from a breeder in Foster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Foster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Foster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Foster paves the way for another one to be saved.
