Danny Boy's Story...
Danny Boy is a very friendly orange male cat who is about one year old. We estimated his birthday on St Patricks Day, 2009 and gave him an Irish name when we rescued he and his brother, Donovan from a nice man who nursed the twin irish brothers back to health after they were left to starve to death in an abandoned apartment. They have both recovered quite well and are "crazy friendly" according to their foster dad. Now they are ready to find a new forever home with a loving family who won't ever abandon their love again. They are quiet cats and would do well in an apartment as long as it has lots of windows... they like to sit in the window. They are young enough that they still have many years of love to give their new owners but old enough to have their good manners down pat (always use the litter box, no curtain climbing and love the scratching post).
The brothers can go to separate homes if you are just looking for one cat or they are available to adopt together for a reduced adoption fee if you are looking for a well matched set. They have both been neutered, tested negative for Feleuk and FIV and are up-to-date on their vaccinations including Rabies. If you are considering making Danny Boy (or both brothers) the newest feline members of your family, please request an application at the e-mail below and we will arrange for you to meet them. Their adoption fee is $70 separately, or $100 if they go together to the same home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Danny Boy, a Oklahoma City Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oklahoma City, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Oklahoma City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oklahoma City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oklahoma City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oklahoma City paves the way for another one to be saved.
