My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Onyx! I'm an approximately 18 month old black GSD. My owners moved off and left me and my pup in the back yard with no food or water, and we landed in the Humane Society. When they ran out of room and didn't have a place for us, they called the rescue and the rest is history!


I'm a very sweet, outgoing girl, and I love to 'talk' to you. I get along well with other dogs, and I love to play. I love to spend time with my family and sit in your lap. We're not sure how I feel about cats, since I haven't been around any. My mom says, I am beautiful: I have a gorgeous, shiny black coat and the most soulful brown eyes that will melt your heart.


I am up to date on routine vaccinations, spayed, and current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. I am also house trained; at least I haven't had any accidents! If you think you might be able to give me the forever home I long for, please fill out an application and let's get the ball rolling!
