Harrison's Story...
My name is Harrison. I am about 2-3 years old and I am a fun-loving dog. I was found as a stray and was never claimed by my owners. PPAWSS came and rescued me from the shelter before I was euthanized! I am up to date on shots, heartworm tested (negative), will come with a one year supply of Heartworm Prevention, and I am microchipped. I get along with dogs and cats. I am housebroken and cratetrained. I am a playful dog looking for a family to spend time with me. I am absolutely adorable and I KNOW you won't regret adopting me. I love people, kids, dogs, and cats! I love chasing the tennis ball around (even though I don't always bring it back). If you are interested, please fill out an application today. My adoption fee is only 125.00!! I am really ready to get into my fur-ever home and know what love is again! Visit to fill out an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harrison, a Sulphur Springs Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Sulphur Springs, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Sulphur Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sulphur Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sulphur Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sulphur Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
