You would never guess by Sammie’s health or activity level that he is 12 years old. He has been a wonderful pet and a beloved companion throughout his life and it was not without a lot of thought and heartache that his family is now looking to find him a new home. Through no fault of his own, Sammie now finds himself in foster care looking for someone that would enjoy an older companion that is still full of life.
Sammie is still an energetic dog that loves to go for walks. When you see him running at the dog park you would never guess this boy is a senior dog. He is a very affectionate and loving companion and although he is fine with children of all ages he would best suit a quieter home where he could have some one on one attention.
Sammie will need to be groomed and is a non-shedding, hypo-allergic dog. He is all black which made it hard to get good pictures of him and he weighs approximately 15 lbs. Although he is 12 years old, he is in good health and has many years left to love and be loved.
Sammie is a very devoted companion who likes to lie beside you and be wherever you are. He will come and ask you to be let out and to go for walks and is clean and quiet in the home. He would be fine in an apartment with a daily walk and would love to sleep along side of you at night.
If you think Sammie might be right for you, please submit an application for consideration.
