My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello - I'm Buster. My full name is Buster Douglas and I have a full name because I am a full cat. Full of Big Belly Laughs and Big Ideas. I am enough cat for one house and I'll prove it if you give me a big rub and a big hug.

They say I should tell you my story which I don't talk about much. I like to look to the future and let the past slide off of my back. But if it helps you to know me a bit then I will say that I learned love from my previous family. They loved me as a kitten and played with me and life was a dream for me. Then I got bigger and things started to change. I am not ashamed of my size because I know there is just a lot more to love and I am very into that. So the story goes on to me getting handed off by the big man of my family. He took me to the vet to have me killed because he just didn't want me anymore and didn't have any other place to take me. It is hard for me to imagine not being seen as family and them wanting to kill me but that was going to be my ending. One of the care-givers happened to walk into the vet office and heard about my situation. She found out that there was nothing wrong with me, no health problems and my big person just wanted me gone because he was moving. Can you imagine that after all of my love and devotion to just want me dead like I was apiece of garbage and not a living family member? Luckily that care-giver took action and I finally landed at Brigid's Crossing where there are no cages and I get a full house to roam about in and a nice yard. There is just one problem. There are all these other cats.

I don't like to be surrounded by other cats because I identify with the humans. I love to be held. I love to climb up and put my paws over your shoulders and hug, hug, hug, hug. I thought I was a human for a while but these other cats remind me otherwise. So you, the one who wants a big sweet love in the house give Brigid's Crossing a call and come get me. Then I can get back to that dream of companionship that I had in the beginning of my life. I still dream about it but you can turn it into reality.

Until then, Buster Douglas
