Winnie's Story...
Hi, my name is Winnie. I am so lucky to be alive! I sat at the shelter for a MONTH waiting for my owners to come find me or for someone to come adopt me. My time was up. Luckily, PPAWSS came and rescued me the DAY I was going to be put to sleep. I am a very sweet dog that is ready to find my new family. I get along with dogs and cats. I am still adjusting to my foster home and starting to come out of my shell, but I am doing very well considering I was in the shelter for a month. I am just glad that I can run and play again! I am only about 2 years old. I. love sitting in your lap and being petted. I am spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped, heartworm tested (negative), and I will come with a one year supply of Heartworm Prevention. My adoption fee is only $100. If you are interested, fill out an application. I am ready to go to my fur-ever home today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winnie, a Sulphur Springs Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Sulphur Springs, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Sulphur Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sulphur Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sulphur Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sulphur Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
