Macy's Story...
Estimated Date of Birth: 11/2008
Weight: 60 pounds

Macy was rescued from less than ideal living conditions. She demonstrated very good house manners while in a foster home. Macy is a multifaceted dog. Outside on a walk or playing within a fenced yard, she’s all go! One-on-one with someone she loves and trusts, she is gently affectionate and completely devoted. When faced with a new situation, she is visibly uncomfortable but works through it with reassurance. We would love for Macy to find an owner who will take the time to bond with her and see these various sides of her personality, then take her home to continue working on building her confidence on those scary new things. She is a wonderful companion, and it makes all of us sad to think that some family out there is missing out on such a great dog. A home with no other dogs is recommended.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Macy, a Batavia Rhodesian Ridgeback/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Labrador Retriever for sale in Batavia, or seeking a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Batavia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Batavia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Batavia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rhodesian Ridgeback/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Rhodesian Ridgeback/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Batavia paves the way for another one to be saved.
