Chelsea's Story...
Chelsea is all the qualities one might seek in a German Shepherd, but in a much smaller package. -- Chelsea is only 24 lbs and about 6-years of age. Chelsea was rescued from the city pound shortly after she arrived as a very skinny and neglected "stray." She was very scared in the shelter and wound up on the Euth list. Currently, Chelsea is boarding with a dog trainer and doing very nicely. She is housebroken, walks well on leash, good around other dogs and wonderful with people if given proper chance to overcome her initial shyness. Chelsea would do best in a dog-experienced and knowledgeable home where the people are patient in allowing a loving relationship to develop between dog and caregiver, rather than trying to force one. Chelsea is a very loving and devoted dog and we seek the same for her in terms of human guardianship. If interested in this pretty "mini shepherd," please call us (NOT email) at (212) 427-8273. Chelsea is healthy, already spayed and ready to go to her forever home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chelsea, a New York German Shepherd Dog/Kai Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Kai Dog for sale in New York, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Kai Dog dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Kai Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Kai Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
