Happy's Info...

Happy's Story...
Happy appears to most happy when he's outside sniffing around the park. Fortunately, as a small dog, he's close to the ground and he won't miss a thing! He has a gorgeous red coat which shines in the sunlight out on his walk. Happy gets very excited when he sees other dogs though it seems to be friendly interest. We are recommending that Happy's new home be adult-only because he appears to have some handling issues. He doesn't like sudden movements and can attempt to nip in response. This pooch needs someone who is willing to be patient and loving to help Happy increase his comfort-level in a new home.

Act quickly to adopt Happy. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Happy, a Berkeley Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
