Pickles's Story...
Pickles, along with Olive, were found as strays in Meadow Lake at the end of Nov. No one came to claim them so they are both now available for adoption. We think the two may be sisters with Pickles being a bit smaller than Olive. They appear
to be crosses of black lab with some border collie. They both have short, smooth hair. They prefer to be in each other's company so it would be great to adopt them together to a home, but we realize that is not a likely possibility so will split them up if need be. An adopter may have to allow for some anxiety at first when they are separated at adoption.

This pet comes with a 30-day gift of Sheltercare pet insurance, the number one brand of pet insurance for adopted pets. Over 2.5-million adopted pets have already been insured!

This pet has been microchipped and registered with 24PetWatch, the number one lost pet recovery service for adopted dogs and cats. Over 3.1-million pets registered.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pickles, a Meadow Lake Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Meadow Lake, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Meadow Lake.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meadow Lake already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meadow Lake breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meadow Lake paves the way for another one to be saved.
