Sam Sam (aka Lemon Drop)'s Story...
Sam Sam aka Lemon Drop was found running the streets of Homestead. No collar, no chip, no tag! So now we are trying to find her a new place to call home. She has been fully vetted and will receive a microchip before adoption. She is a sweet pup with lots of energy. We predict she will stay under 35lbs as an adult dog. She has the markings of a Lemon Drop Beagle. Email pets@thisisthedog.com for application. Donations are critical to our existence -- they help us to continue rescuing these animals and to make sure that they are healthy and properly socialized before being adopted.Thank you for considering a rescued animal from This Is The Dog!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sam Sam (aka Lemon Drop), a Homestead Beagle/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Homestead, or seeking a Beagle/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Homestead.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homestead already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homestead breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Beagle/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homestead paves the way for another one to be saved.
