Hi, I'm Valero! I was found hanging around at a local Valero gas station. HFE was kind enough to take me in since I wasn't doing so hot at finding myself a home. I have been to the vet and I am now ready for my new place! I am living in a kennel right now because there aren't any available foster homes for me. A dedicated volunteer comes to visit me and once a week we run errands (I do love the car and I ride very well) and then I go to her house where I can run and play and get treats when I follow her directions. The first time I went to there to play we didn't have dog bowls and such so my friend got me a plastic cup and filled it with bottled water. I found out real quick how much better that water tasted then the water from the tap. Now when I am thirsty I just go right to the bottled water and wait for her to fill my glass for me. Don't tell her but I am fine with tap water all the rest of the time. Hey, you can't blame a guy for wanting the finer things in life. I have been through training classes and I was the star of the class if I do say so myself. I'm practicing my leash walking and I am steadily improving. I love people although small children frighten me some so I would really appreciate it if there is a household without the little ones that would take me in. Actually my favorite time is when my friend's son and his buddies show up. I sure like hanging out with the guys. Whoever takes me you have my promise of getting a faithful companion who will provide unlimited love to you. I am quite handsome and I have watched my waistline. I weigh about 72lbs and I have a nice brindle and white coat. Birthdate 07/01/07 Please consider fostering or adopting me and showing me what it's like to live in a home with people to love.
