Rocco's Story...
Hi, I'm Rocco! My mom is Dixie, who is a Boxer. She and my brothers and sisters were all in the B.A.R.C. program, but have since been adopted. I am a Boxer-Dane mix if you couldn't already tell. I am very tall and lean and weigh about 70 pounds. I was born in 2007 and adopted too, but due to lifestyle changes my family is no longer able to care for me and I am looking for a new home to call my own forever. I am good with kids and other dogs. If you are interested in adopting me please complete an online application. I look forward to meeting you! I am being fostered by Stephanie in Jacksonville, FL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocco, a Albany Boxer/Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Great Dane for sale in Albany, or seeking a Boxer/Great Dane dog from a breeder in Albany.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Albany already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Albany breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Great Dane breeders who help with Boxer/Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Albany paves the way for another one to be saved.
