Chief's Story...
Cheif is the name that I keep getting called by and I'm still learning it. In my short life (I was born at the end of July last year) I haven't been allowed to go too far away from my mom's side, but now that we ended up here at the Animal House Rescue and they found my mom her Forever Home I'm having to try new things. I'm still a little skittish about new people but once I realize you're not going to hurt me I become your best friend and will follow you every where. I hope some one comes soon to take me to my Forever Home, too.

(Even though Chief has 2 breeds listed he is a purebred. He is called a Native American Indian Dog. They are considered a rare breed and recognized by AKC.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chief, a Tuscola German Shepherd Dog/Alaskan Malamute dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Alaskan Malamute for sale in Tuscola, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Alaskan Malamute dog from a breeder in Tuscola.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tuscola already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tuscola breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Alaskan Malamute breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Alaskan Malamute rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tuscola paves the way for another one to be saved.
