Bella's Story...
Meet Bella. Bella was returned to hart when her family moved and did not have space for her or her sister, Emma (Emma has a pending adoption in process), anymore. The pair were adopted together just over a year ago and love spending time together. Bella is the more out going and confident of the two and will great everyone who comes into her yard. She is a large dog but loves to be cuddled and is looking forward to a life in your house. She would love to keep her sister with her but is willing to go it alone. She (or they) will make a great addition to your family.

Please note: The description of breed, age & size when grown is an ESTIMATE only, based on a visual assessment by hart volunteers. Be sure to read the adoption guidelines and process in our shelter information. All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to (or arrangements made after) adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bella, a Edmonton Australian Shepherd/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Husky for sale in Edmonton, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Husky dog from a breeder in Edmonton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edmonton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edmonton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Husky breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edmonton paves the way for another one to be saved.
