My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sampson was rescued from the Maricopa County Animal Care & Control Shelter on 11/13/04. Sampson was 2 1/2 years old way back then, so he is almost 3 1/2 now. He is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. He loves people and affection. He is crate trained and has no problem with being groomed .

Sampson does have food and toy aggression and will need a family that is willing to hire a trainer and work with him on these issues. He responds well to training, especially when he knows food is the reward, and is very attentive and willing to learn. He will need a resource guarding and basic obedience program started with his new family upon adoption to ensure that everyone understands each other.

Sampson has been evaluated by our trainer in Tucson as highly adoptable, but he will need continued behavioral modification/training. This will be part of his adoption process.
