This is KENDALL...an 8 yr old, 11 lb, Maltese mix....and knowing his story, you would have to agree -- whether you believe in a higher power or not -- his life was spared because of divine intervention! This little boy was clipped in the head by not one, but two cars! Three good Samaritans interceded and stopped the owners from euthanizing him because they didn't have the money for his care. Not only did he escape death by trauma, but by human hand as well! They called LHH and we took him on. Little guy's jaw was broken, gums were gashed, several of his teeth were dangling, but the miracle was, he was alive. Now, he's all fixed up, no lingering affects. At any given time, you will find Kendall by your side, leaning into you, occasionally licking your hand to let you know how grateful he is to have someone to love. Everyone who meets Kendall loves him. If you're looking for an athlete or a hiker, he is not your boy. Kendall plods along at your side like the best friend you could ever have. He wants to sleep by you at night but will understand if you tuck him into his own bed -- that's OK if you say it is! He has a deep and husky bark that he uses sparingly to warn you that someone is about "enter." He has a quiet, masculine disposition that his foster daddy really digs. He may be soft, white and fluffy, but he's proud and dignified in way that commands respect from men. Kendall’s former family had grandchildren, so he loves to be around kids .... but his days of playing crazy are behind him. He will pick up a toy and amuse himself from time to time, but he’s much happier at his guardian's side. Kendall is a big time snuggle puss – not wanting to be picked up so much as lean right into you when you are on the couch or on your bed. My heart breaks that his former owners were unable to be there for him in his time of great need, because he would most certainly have died to protect them. He would be fantastic in a mature home that can give him the time, love and attention he surely deserves.
Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

We hold our adoption events most every Sunday from 10am - 3pm at My Pet Naturally (12001 W. Pico Blvd., West LA 90064).. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!! And don't forget to check out our
