Nellie's Story...
Poor little Nellie. She's only about 8 months old and already has had a hard life. She was so scared when we found her but she's now so loving and happy and gives kisses and is a joy to be with! Nellie is still a little scared, but she's come such a long way in such a short time, we know she'd be a great member of the family. Nellie was so good we gave her her Christmas toys early :o) Nellie's story was a sad one - the kill shelter picked her when she was caught under a fence. We heard about it and promptly brought this little girl in. She's full of trust and love and will gently take a cookie out of your hand. We want to place Nellie in a loving home that's on the quiet side to make sure she doesn't get afraid. If you would like to meet Nellie or want some more info, please call Bobbi at 718-845-0779 or 917-213-9840. For immediate consideration, please download our application from www.bobbicares.petfinder.org and email it to bobbicares2@aol.com. Can you make this girl's holiday wishes come true?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nellie, a Freeport Collie/English Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/English Shepherd for sale in Freeport, or seeking a Collie/English Shepherd dog from a breeder in Freeport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Freeport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Freeport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/English Shepherd breeders who help with Collie/English Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Freeport paves the way for another one to be saved.
