My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Lucille (Lucy) who was rescued from a ditch where she had been for several days trying to survive. We believe she is full blooded beagle approx. 5-6 yrs. old, and 27 lbs. She was very shy and very unsure of her surroundings when she first came into rescue, but she is gaining the trust she deserves to have with her foster mom. She unfortunately tested heartworm positive, but is at the end of her treatment and should be testing negative soon. SInce her treatments, she is prancing around, going after the toys and going up & down the stairs now as if she is the 5 yr old Beagle she is suppose to act like instead of the 50 yr old we thought she was at first. It is amazing how spunky she is now. She has been accident-free and uses the bathroom when she is taken outside. Walks great on a leash once her feet touch the grass. Lucille is spayed and up to date on vaccinations, and current on heartworm and flea/tick preventitives. She is such a sweetheart and deserves a forever home to call her own. If you want a dog that just lays around and is laid back to the fullest, then Lucille is the girl for you. Her adoption fee is $425 and you can find an adoption application by going to
