Tiki's Story...
Tiki is an absolutely adorable Chow Chow mix puppy. She came from Animal Control as a stray, and was initially hesitant to meet people. However, Tiki has come out of her shell SO much in a week and is becoming quite the hilarious little comedian in the house. (She has a very animated walk- part pompous strut, part uncoordinated, clumsy puppy.) When you call her over, she will duck her head and drop her ears to half-mast submissively and sprint quickly wiggle over to you. She is certainly a typical puppy in many respects- working on her house breaking, learning what is appropriate to chew and what is not, and how to use her ‘inside voice’- but she is worth every ounce of effort. Tiki is becoming crate trained- she trots right into her crate for feeding and bed times, and settles in quickly for the night. She does not have accidents overnight in her crate, which means more sleep for her adoptive family, too! :) Tiki is sure to bring years of laughter into her forever home- will it be yours?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tiki, a Greensboro Chow Chow puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow for sale in Greensboro, or seeking a Chow Chow puppy from a breeder in Greensboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greensboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greensboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow breeders who help with Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greensboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
