Layla's Story...
Hello, my name is Layla!
I'm a gorgeous long-haired black and tan female GSD, probably around 15 to 18 months of age. I'm initially shy, but I warm up quickly. I'm affectionate, playful, happy, silly and get along with other dogs of my size (unsure of smaller dogs). I'm a typical female GSD that thrives on having structure and knowing where I stand in my pack. As with all our dogs, we recommend obedience training so that I'll develop the respect and bond so important between humans and our wonderful dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Layla, a Houston German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Houston, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
