My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Elaine is a Foxhound. She is tri-colored. Elaine is 1 to 1 1/2 years old. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She weighs around 52 lbs.

Elaine is such a wonderful gal. She has that goofy grin and that I love you personality. Hard to believe that she had a terrible experience with people, her former owner pulled into the pound and tossed her from their pickup and sped away leaving her behind. Even with such a terrible former owner, she had a heart of gold. She loves people and will show it with her hound kisses. Elaine has found a very comfortable spot on the couch and she will sit there and watch tv with you. She likes to give you kisses to show you thank you for being so nice. She loves lounging around on the couch and just being there with you.

Elaine would blossom in any household. She loves other dogs and everyone she meets. She loves to follow you around the house giving your hand kisses along the way to let you know she's still around. She loves treats and will sit for them as well. We are currently working on giving paw. She's a very smart girl and loves being with you. She walks great on the leash, she doesn't pull she just tends to walk where her nose wants her to go. She would love a family that will relax with her in front of the tv, and take her for car rides. She does excellent in the car. Elaine is waiting for a family that will love and care for her!

Elaine is not aggressive with other dogs, she has been with small, large, young and old dogs.

At the rescue we require dogs to be kept indoors.


There is a $100 Adoption Fee for all dogs. Which includes the Spay/Neuter, Parvo/Distemper Combo Shot, Rabies Shot, Worming, Heartworm Tested Negative if over 6 months and Flea/Tick Prevention.
