Jose''s Story...
Jose' is one of Sherry's pups that were born to an Italian Greyhound mom, but obviously she found a small Lab to dance with. The family was dumped in a cul-de-sac and a neighbor was going to call Animal Control when a gentle woman gave her heart and said "No." So as Sherry and her family foster the pups, we get them physically ready for adoption. Jose' has been neutered and believed to be 4 months old. That makes his birthday approximately mid January 2010. He and his twin sister and the other boys play all day or are crated. The crate training has instilled the potty behavior. We have only had one accident because I was away too long for babies....their little muscles have to develop to hold their urine. Anyway, Jose', his sister, Hannah, and the other brothers are all ready for adoption. An application can be accessed on the home page of our web-site at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jose', a York Labrador Retriever/Italian Greyhound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Italian Greyhound for sale in York, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Italian Greyhound puppy from a breeder in York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Italian Greyhound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Italian Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in York paves the way for another one to be saved.
