Sabine's Story...
Sabine is a SWEET 2 year old Smooth Collie, sort of a short-haired version of Lassie. This mellow girl just loves kids. She's calm and quiet, 100% housetrained and does well in a crate. Sabine walks especially nicely on a leash. She gets along with most dogs, including her canine foster sister, but would probably prefer to be the only dog in her forever home. This breed is known for being intelligent, easily trainable and for making excellent family dogs. If she sounds like the right dog for you, come on out and meet SABINE!

As HAHS now has several adoption locations, please contact Liz at 913-226-2694 or liz_novak@hotmail.com to find out when and where you can meet SABINE!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sabine, a Overland Park Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Collie dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie breeders who help with Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
