My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cody would LOVE to have a home and family of his own. He is an incredibly sweet and loving dog and is very submissive. He is a SMART boy too! Poor Cody was a victim of animal cruelty. He and his female rottie kennelmate were STARVED by their owner - the kennelmate died. Cody was taken in by animal control and when the court case was won against the former owner, as county regulations stated, he became available for adoption but there were only 5 days in which to find that special adopter for him! During his stay at the shelter pending the court case, the shelter workers fell in love with him. When it didn't look like an acceptable adoption was going to happen, the shelter staff put out a special plea to the rescue community to save this sweet boy. We read Cody's story and saw the before (skin and bones) and after pictures of him and knew he deserved a second chance at a full and happy life. He had been through so much only to see his last days at the shelter. So we went to Murfreesboro, TN, and brought him back to NC to our small rescue in the country and he has been quite the happy boy. He was best friends and playmates with a female boxer mix that we adopted out about a month ago and has been pretty lonely since then. So, we would love to find him a home that has a female dog. That would be the perfect situation for him, although he would do fine as an only dog and would probably do just fine with another male dog too.

Cody has been neutered, is up to date on all shots and is on monthly heartworm and flea preventative.

Please contact us at cedarfarm@yadtel.net if you are interested in giving Cody the forever home he so deserves! An adoption application is available upon request.
