Mia's Story...
Mia
Black with white on her belly
10 months

Mia is a wonderful mixture of loving and still-not-sure. When she's confined to a small space, she relaxes and totally embraces human touch and loving. She will roll over and let you pet her belly, she will purr and reach out for more attention and pets. However, when she's turned loose in a larger space where she's not so sure she runs and hides and can stay there for a long time unless coaxed out from under the bed, under the dresser or in the closet wherever she finds that feels like protection to her.

Mia is in the Adoption Center at Petsmart in Collegeville now! Come by and meet her!!

Mia is young enough to be trained away from this behavior. The prescription: a quiet house, loving adults with patience and love to help her build confidence and trust. This little girl is about 85% there?she just needs that extra care and attention.

Mia is totally vetted which means she's spayed, tested negative for FIV and FeLv, vaccinated for rabies and distemper and wormed twice.

This velvety sweetheart just needs you to show her the way to your heart and home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mia, a Colmar Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colmar, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Colmar.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colmar already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colmar breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colmar paves the way for another one to be saved.
