Ellie's Story...
If you are looking for a natural 'nanny' girl.... please consider giving Ellie a chance. Ellie 'adopted' Harvey and Cadbury...when they were all abandoned and living under a house. Ellie was the 'older' sister that helped them through their ordeal, and protected and loved them the whole time. She is approx. 10 mos. old and is approx 5 mos. older than these two boys and is as sweet as they come. When she isn't loving on these two she is in the house letting the cat crawl all over her...she is just a natural 'nanny' who also wants to be loved on. Ellie needs a little work on her manners...she hasn't had anyone to help her with leash training which won't be hard because she is so willing to please. She would be a great walking or running partner as she has a lot of energy and loves to play. If you are interested in this sweet girl or would like to request an adoption application, please email.

A NOTE TO OUR PUPPY ADOPTERS: We expect a lot from our puppy adopters because you are accepting responsibility for an animal that has a clean slate---we are looking for homes with flexible schedules and a commitment to have their puppy properly socialized through classes and obedience that this puppy will not end up in the system like so many of our young adults.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ellie, a Glenburn Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Glenburn, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Glenburn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Glenburn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Glenburn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Glenburn paves the way for another one to be saved.
