My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jazmin is not in the Closer to Home Animal Advocates rescue program. We are listing her as a courtesy to her owners. The following information was provided by her owners:

Jazmin is a 2 year old spayed female Siberian Husky. As you can see she's red and white with one brown eye and one hazel blue eye. She's on the smaller size for a husky and weighs 44 lbs. She's just been spayed and is up on all her shots including 3 year rabies. She is on heartworm tablets as well at this time.

We brought Jazmin into our home just a few weeks ago. Unfortunately Jazmin is not getting along with some of our other dogs. That is why we are looking for a new home for her. Jazmin is very sweet to "us". She bonded with my husband right away but took a bit longer with myself. Within a couple of days Jazmin was giving kisses and rolling over to have her belly rubbed. She is crate trained and loves her crate. She goes in there when the door is open just to lay in there but she is protective of it with the other dogs. She's fine with us adults going by it but doesn't like the other dogs to come near it. I've crawled in there a bit myself with her in it and she was fine with that.

Jazmin is house trained. Her previous owners had 2 children and we were told she did fine with children but we don't have any children to test that out. She's put her paws on my kitchen counter once so that might need some work. Right now she's not having too much run of the house because of the situation with our other dogs. She got on our bed once but only with coaxing from my husband. She loves to go for car rides. We took her on a 3 hour one way trip and you hardly knew she was in the truck with us. Jazmin loves to talk. If you know huskies you know what that means.

Jazmin does have a lot of energy. Not much interest in toys but she has been picking up a kong here and there. She now has 2 of them in her crate with her. The previous owner did say she likes tennis balls. We tried when she first got here but I think probably there was too much going on. She just was spayed so we're having to keep her quiet until the stitches come out. So there may be some interest that could be found for playing.

The previous owners did have a chocolate lab which they say Jazmin got along fine with. In our experience with Jazmin she did seem to do better with some of our dogs than others. The worst of it has been with our older female husky which we understand is quite common.

So in a nutshell Jazmin is an adorable, sweet girl. From what I've seen Jazmin is a very loyal friend who would love someone to hang out with. We're crushed that we can't keep her but it's really only fair to everyone to have Jazmin find a new home. Most of all to Jazmin who at this time cannot become part of our family. Thanks for taking the time to read about Jazmin. There is an adoption fee for Jazmin.
