Pickles's Story...
Hi, Hi, Hi. I am Pickles a super fun, super smart, super cute boy who needs someone super special- like you! I am an active boy, but I had a little training- I am young, so I could use a little more. I am already crate trained and housebroken. I need to learn not to jump up to say 'hello' so until I learn better greeting manners I need to be around sturdy children. I love to play with other dogs and would absolutely love going to the park. I will make a great dog for a social family -I love to meet and greet! 18 months old-50lbs. My adoption fee is $150 and includes adoption supplies.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pickles, a Portland Labrador Retriever/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Pointer for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Pointer dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Pointer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
