Hutch's Story...
Hutch is a 5 month little cutie. He is mostly white with adorable tabby markings. This playful 5 month old is a real sweetheart. He loves to jump on his foster mom's lap for naps and cuddles when he isn't playing with his brother Starsky. Starsky and Hutch were rescued from the shelter and have been a delight for their foster mom but now they need a home of their own so they can each get the one on one attention and love they deserve. Hutch is great with dogs and other cats and will be a wonderful pet for whoever is lucky enough to add him to their family!

As HAHS now has several adoption locations, please contact Malissa at masilvey@aol.com or call 816-377-6686 to find out when and where you can meet HUTCH!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hutch, a Overland Park Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
