My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Romeo is a purebred Shih Tzu. He is Tri Colored. Romeo is 4 Months Old. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. He weighs around 5 lbs.

Romeo is an adorable little goober! He was rescued along with his mother, father and three siblings. They were found abandoned in an house all alone until the landlord found them. We know that they were left alone at least more than a week, so we're not sure if Lilly (Romeo's mother) had to give birth by herself or not. Romeo has grown up around his siblings and is very well socialized. Romeo has been a favorite around here and was the social butterfly to begin with. He loves to spend time sitting on top of the couch leaning down and licking your face. He adores running around on your bed like it's a big playground for him. Romeo is a big "foodie" and has already taken a liking to people food. When he's out and about with larger dogs he likes to crawl on his belly like an army ranger and try to sneak up on them. When they turn around he gets so excited that he was caught that he wiggles his entire body and gives them tons of kisses. Romeo also loves to be the center of attention and when you look at him to get the attention on him he barks so you ignore his siblings and talk to him instead. Romeo also loves his belly rubbed and him and his sister Tink could lay on their backs getting their bellies rubbed all day. Romeo is such a joy to have around and is going to be terribly missed when he goes to his forever home.

Romeo would do well in any household. He loves adults, kids, dogs and cats. He has been around other dogs all his life and would do very well with having a another doggie brother and sister in his new home. We would love for him to have a family where his new family would be retired or work from home. Romeo loves to go for trips with his family. He likes to sit in your lap for awhile and look out the window, then he goes to explore the rest of the car. He hasn't mastered the leash yet and doesn't really see the point of one. Especially if he is just so cute you want to carry him wherever you go. He has had many tubby experiences and looks very sad with his puppy dog eyes when he's trying to get out. Romeo loves to be with his family and anyone would be lucky to have him in their lives.

Romeo will be neutered the beginning of June, but if you are interested in meeting you can do so before that date.

Romeo is not aggressive with other dogs, he has been with small, large, young and old dogs.

At the rescue we require dogs to be kept indoors.

There is a $650 Adoption Fee for Romeo. Which includes Three Booster (Parvo/Distemper) Shots, Two Sets of Worming, Three Vet Check Up's, Flea/Tick Prevention, and his neuter which will take place 5/14/10.
