Skip's Info...

I am already neutered, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Skip's Story...
Skip came to us from a local partner shelter after he was found as a stray. Skip is about 2 years old and weighs 60 pounds. He was diagnosed with demodex which is an easily treatable skin condition brought on by stress and malnutrition. After a few weeks, he will start growing back his beautiful brindle coat. Skip is a quick learner and gets along well with other dogs. He is house and crate-trained.

This boy will need to complete heartworm treatments once he starts feeling better. Ask us about fostering-to-adopt this sweet boy. Please fill out an application if you are interested in making Skip part of your family. He is being fostered by Mark in Jacksonville, FL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skip, a Albany Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Albany, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Albany.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Albany already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Albany breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Albany paves the way for another one to be saved.
