My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cheerio is a charmer! It seems she lost her home because her people left town and won't be returning. Her caretaker brought her to Katie's Place. They told us she was an indoor cat and an only pet, so her concern upon seeing many other cats at the shelter was understandable. Despite that, she proved another thing the person told us -- she's very loving. It didn't take much to bring Cheerio to the front of her new-cat cage to meet a visitor. A volunteer merely opened the cage door and Cheerio stood and came forward to offer some nuzzles and enjoy some pets between anxiously scanning the room beyond. She is utterly endearing with her sweet, gentle temperament. The person also told us she "likes being brushed and likes sleeping at the foot of the bed" and she's "shy at first, then very loving, likes to sleep near you." They said she's a well-behaved little cat. When asked how she is with children, they said she was good with a one-year-old. When Cheerio joined a communal room, she settled in nicely and is a well-behaved little resident who never makes any trouble. She doesn't bother the other cats and she doesn't pester people either. She could be easy to overlook, yet she'll glow with pleasure if she gets some attention and she soaks up her pets happily. This pretty little cat has a great deal to offer someone who can give her a loving home for the rest of her life. Come and meet this wonderful little soul for yourself.

Cheerio was born around the beginning of 2006.
