Mimoku's Story...
This is Mimoku, our Chow Chow boy! Poor guy was found all alone wandering around in the airport. He was finally found trying to keep warm in an abandoned car =( Mimo is about 2 years old and extremely friendly and sweet! One of the volunteers was kissing him and he loved it! He seems to know commands like "sit" and "paw" because when we go to see him, he keeps putting his paw up like he wants to give it to you - awwwwwwwwwwww :o) If you would like some more info, please call Bobbi at 718-845-0779 or 917-213-9840. For immediate consideration, please download our application from www.bobbicares.petfinder.org and email it to bobbicares2@aol.com. Thank you so much! PS Better photos of this adorable guy are coming soon!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mimoku, a Freeport Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow for sale in Freeport, or seeking a Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Freeport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Freeport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Freeport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow breeders who help with Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Freeport paves the way for another one to be saved.
