Well then you need to meet Neeko.
She is an exceptional female 8yr old Catalina Macaw!
*A Catalina is a Hybrid. Scarlet Macaw + Blue and Gold Macaw= Catalina Macaw
Neeko is part Velcro Cockatoo, part entertaining and bold Macaw, and part Doggie who will follow you down the driveway to check the mail. She also likes to stroll to the neighbors.
I like to refer to Neeko as my Velcro Macockatoo. She would sit on your arm ALL day long if she had her way. She hangs on even as I twist the front door knob! LOL! She wants to be in your lap while you preen and pet her. We cuddle while watching TV. Neeko usually falls asleep with her head tucked under my chin and one foot holding the neckline of my shirt. Awww its so cute. I'm humbled that she chose to trust me after everything she's endured in her short life. Oh but dont feel sorry for Neeko. She carries herself like the Diva she is. She is bald and strutting it. Besides Diva's Dont Need Feathers!
Neeko is a very smart Macaw. She can even do a trick! She hangs from your hand with her beak as you GENTLY swing her side to side. When you perch her back on your arm she bobs her head up and down real fast and squeals 'yeah, yeah, yeah!' This chick cracks me up all day long. She is just naturally funny. Her noises, squeaks, and body movements are hysterical! She goes almost everywhere with me. She likes going into CVS. I have nooo idea why.
Neeko does not like to be misted at all! Although, she will hang out in the bottom of the tub while you shower. Make sure there is a warm place for her to dry off. She is featherless over a great deal of her body and needs to be kept warm until she is completely dry.
Neeko doesn't like when she cannot see you or to be in her cage if you are home. She will scream really loud until you get her out. Neeko won't stay on a stand or atop her cage. You won't know she's off until she's at your feet or attacking and drawing blood of the someone in the house she doesn't like. Neeko can NEVER NEVER be left unsupervised while out of her cage!! She will chew wood furnishings, the kitchen cabinets, and attack anyone she doesn't know. She puts everything she finds in her mouth and chews up anything she can get her beak on.
Neeko does not like other birds at all. She will tolerate sharing a family with one but will be on constant alert when the other bird is around. Neeko will spread her wings wide and high and lunge toward the other bird if she feels it's too close to her or you. She will also behave this way towards people. Neeko decides immediately if she likes a person or not. She doesn't change her mind over time either.

*she talks in her sleep
*when your on the phone she talks as if she's on the phone
I'll admit Neeko will be a handful at first. She will require a lot of socialization and one on one attention. She also has a few quirks that you might not be able to over look. But for the lucky human that Neeko adopts it will be O-so-Worth It! The love and friendship you'll get back will be immeasurable.
