Daisy's Story...
Daisy is a stunning sorrel and white paint horse. She is around 14.2-14.3 hands tall and is green broke to ride. She knows how to load and will stand for a farrier. Daisy has nice ground manners, is very sweet, and very calm. Must be adopted in Illinois or a neighboring state.

You can see updates on Daisy's progress on her updates page. We took Daisy to a Tractor Supply Company pet adoption event. A volunteer rode her around the side of the busy parking lot bareback with a halter and lead rope and Daisy did great. She will make someone one heck of a horse.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daisy, a Dewey Paint/Pinto was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Paint/Pinto for sale in Dewey, or seeking a Paint/Pinto from a breeder in Dewey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dewey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dewey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Paint/Pinto breeders who help with Paint/Pinto rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dewey paves the way for another one to be saved.
