Pumpkin's Story...
Are you looking for a mellow fellow? Then look no further!

My name is Pumpkin. I was left behind when my owners decided to move away, just leaving me outside. :( That was very sad and scary for me.

I am a 2-year-old, shorthaired orange and white fellow - extremely dapper! I am quiet, gentle and loveable. I would like a home where I will be the only feline gentleman, so that I can be spoiled and loved...and I will love you right back.

I am a very affectionate guy who is a mush, just like pumpkin pie, but without all the calories! Please “get me outta this joint!” and take me home with you.

If you'd like to meet Pumpkin, please call the shelter at 781-331-6115.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pumpkin, a Quincy American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Quincy, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Quincy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Quincy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Quincy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Quincy paves the way for another one to be saved.
