My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rex- male, vaccinated to date inclu. Rabies, dewormed, tx flea preventative, heartworm tested (-), ~3yr, ~25lbs, Beagle.

Rex was to be euthanized at a high kill shelter where there were too many dogs and too many Beagles!

Rex is an adorable Beagle that is patiently waiting for his new home, he’s so friendly we can’t figure out why he’s still here! He is good with other dogs and good with respectful children of any age, we have not had him around cats. Rex loves people and going for walks every day, he would also enjoy off leash parks that are fully fenced. Being a Beagle means Rex should not be off leash unless in a secure area. He would be great as a second dog or on his own. Rex loves plush squeaky toys, he will carry them around like a prize and be very pleased with himself, he of course has to come around and show all the people his nifty toy! Rex is relatively quiet but does have a big “voice” to let you know when someone is at the door. He is crate trained and house trained, he is crated at night and when left alone and will go in his crate when asked. Rex would love to find an active family to spend time outdoors with walking and playing. Rex needs a house with a fully fenced yard.
