Zack's Story...
Zack is a real looker! He is about 5 1/2 years old and has been a pet for 3 1/2 years. In his home, he has lived with cats, whippets and very young children. At dog parks and on trails, he is not reactive to even the more alpha dogs. He is greyt with EVERYONE! It is when no one is around that he runs into trouble. Though raised as a race dog in a kennel environment, now the stress of being crated upsets his tummy. He chews in response to his anxiety when not with people - the company of dogs is not enough to calm this loyal boy. When with people, he is not skittish or sensitive - just a love!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zack, a Santa Rosa Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Santa Rosa, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Santa Rosa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Rosa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Rosa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Rosa paves the way for another one to be saved.
