Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shorty was surrendered by his owners after being diagnosed with Demodex mange. They were given Shorty a few weeks previously and simply could not afford his treatments. They have allowed us to find him another home rather than put him to sleep. He has the worst case of Demodex that I've seen in almost 20 yrs of veterinary practice! This type of mange is NOT contagious, but can be difficult to treat. He's doing much much better after starting treatments. We'll be updating his picture, now that he is starting to look better. CorgiAid is helping pay for his treatment. His proprective adoptive familiy will need to become familiar with generalized Demodex, as he may require on-going treatment or could relapse later in life. His skin has finally cleared up enough to get his neuter done.
Short is a 2 year old sweetheart who is good with kids and cats. He's been a kennel dog and was hoping to become a housedog before this happened. He loves to play with the girls! He enjoys his romps with another shepherd mix rescue puppy. We are accepting applications for Shorty's forever home. He needs to be adopted in the Tulsa area, so we can continue with his treatments in his new home. **WE'VE ADDED NEW PICTURES NOW THAT HIS SKIN IS DOING BETTER!"
