Gretta's Story...
Gretta was rescued the day she was to be euthanized do to an overcrowded dog pound. She was a stray that no one would come and claim. She even had a dog license but when they looked it up is was registered to a Yorkshire Terrier and those people said Gretta was not their dog and they would not come for her. The nice lady at the pound found us and asked if we could help the sweet doggie out because she didn't think she would have the heart to destroy her but she knew she would have to because the pound was full. Gretta loves every person she has met and has shown no dog aggression either. She really is a wonderful rescue that would love to be a new member of your family. She is blowing doggie kisses at the camera and hopes you'll return them in person soon.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gretta, a Powell Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Powell, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Powell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Powell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Powell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Powell paves the way for another one to be saved.
