Harrison's Story...
I’m a fun-loving, friendly fellow named Harrison. I was rescued from the county pound when my time was up, and I’m thrilled to have a second chance. It’s a wonder that my owners weren’t desperately looking for such a sweet boy like me. I have a wonderful, endearing personality. Just looking at me will make you smile, and I’ll be smiling right back at you. I love to play and I’m a friend to other dogs. I love to have my shiny smooth coat brushed, and I love taking trips to the dog park. I’m already housetrained. See, I’m really smart, too! I’ve lived in a home with kids before, ages 10 and up, and I think they’re loads of fun. All the volunteers here at FOHA are smitten with me, and I hope you will be, too. (PLEASE NOTE: I can only be adopted in the DC Metropolitan area. There will be no exceptions to this policy.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harrison, a Aldie German Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Aldie, or seeking a German Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
